Privacy policy

This policy explains how Nova Groupe Immobilier collects, uses, discloses, keeps and protects your personal information, in accordance with Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25).

Information we collect

When you use the contact form, we collect:

• your name and email address;
• your phone number, if you choose to provide it;
• if you are a tenant, the apartment you are interested in; if you are a landlord, the address or neighbourhood of the property to rent out;
• the content of your message;
• the language used on the site.

The site uses no advertising cookies and no tracking or analytics tools. Like any website, our hosting providers keep technical logs (IP address, date and page visited) for security and to keep the site running. To display the map, your browser downloads map tiles from the OpenFreeMap service, which then receives your IP address.

Why we use it

• To answer your request and give you information about apartments for rent or about renting out your property;
• to schedule a visit and follow up on your request, until the lease is signed.

We never sell your information and do not use it for marketing without your consent.

Your consent

We collect your information with your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us; we will then stop using your information, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Who can access your information

Only the people at Nova Groupe Immobilier who handle your request can access it. We use service providers acting on our behalf, under their contractual confidentiality and security commitments:

• Supabase: hosting of the site’s database and photos;
• Resend: delivery of the email notifying us of your message;
• Vercel: hosting of the website.

These providers may store or process information outside Québec, including in the United States. Before entrusting them with information, we assess that it will receive adequate protection, as required by law.

Retention

We keep your messages for no more than 24 months after our last exchange, then delete them. If you sign a lease with us, some information is kept for as long as the law requires.

Security

Connections to the site are encrypted (HTTPS), the management area is password-protected, and strict access rules prevent anyone unauthorized from viewing your information.

Your rights

At any time, you may ask us to:

• access the information we hold about you and receive a copy, including in a structured technological format;
• correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
• delete it, or stop using it;
• withdraw your consent.

Write to the person in charge (contact details above). We answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Cookies

The public site sets none. Only the management area reserved for the Nova Groupe Immobilier team uses a technical cookie to keep the session open.
